UCO McNair Scholars Program Coordinator
Oversee organization and coordination of day-to-day services; recruit eligible students from low-income, first-generation backgrounds and/or from groups underrepresented in graduate education (African-American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander and Native American/Alaskan Native) who are interested in preparing to pursue a PhD; assist with the development and implementation of activities for and services to McNair Scholars; support students in all aspects of the graduate application process; maintain and produce federally compliant student portfolios; identify needs and measurements of student progress; provide individualized academic advising and support; arrange travel for students to attend scholarly conferences and graduate school visits; data collection; maintain compliance with federal legislation, regulations, and guidance, as well as institutional policies and procedures; coordinate the eight-week summer research program and coordination of the pre-research program; responsible for the production of marketing materials and the McNair Scholars Program Research Journal; supervise support staff; and monitor and recruit faculty mentors.
